Oh, dearest, your words are so touching. . . . :D

I'm afraid, as people who've eaten at my place can attest, dinner around here tends toward the simple - whatever can get thrown in the Crock-Pot or the baking-dish and ignored while I write all the food detail instead of actually living it!!!! I guess I've just always been too intimidated by the kitchen to experiment very much with the recipes I adore the sound of, save on the page/screen. . . . About all I've made myself from this list are the toast and jam and the scrambled eggs. *blushes shyly*

I keep hoping that'll change, that I'll get my nerve up and step up to the proverbial and literal plate. . . Admittedly, Thanksgiving was pretty reflective of my food detail orientation; that being said, it was an all-day production for me, and I don't think I could do that every day.

And that makes PERFECT sense. I feel exactly the same way, which is why I enjoy writing this stuff. :)
