febobePlease forgive me for writing short fic for CMEM-08 this month, but I'm just not feeling up to long fic, and life isn't tending toward long fic at this point either.
Also, please forgive today's fic not being sweet Frodo, but. . .I had to go where the muses were taking me, and sometimes Celebrian and Elrond can be demanding themselves.
Hope you enjoy this teensy tiny ficlet:
It has been a day now, and she has not spoken.
Has she recognized anyone? Not father nor mother, nor sons nor husband. . .if she has, she has given no sign thereof since her rescue.
And now, wonders Elrond, sitting by her bed, is *this* then the true measure of pain?
And now, knowing all, he can only wait. . .and hope in the midst of darkness.
