I'm managing. . .am currently waiting for a callback from the rheumie; it seems every time we try to go back to my normal prednisone dose the joint pain flares back up. :( Even 10 mgs (double my normal dosage, but still about the smallest increase possible, I think) had it pretty well in hand, but dropping back to 5 just isn't cutting it any longer. I don't know whether rheumie will be willing to do anything at all, much less without seeing me, given that he ruled it not a flare in April (my GP, OTOH, says if it waddles like a duck, quacks like a duck, etc. . . .). But my GP's office deferred back to him b/c - well, he *does* need to know, given how long it's continued unabated.
I did have a fun time at a writers' conference this weekend, which was nice. :) Even got to give a very short reading from my novel during the participant readings section. :D Am hoping to go to a women writers' retreat next month. . . . And I'm about to finish up an online writing class I've been taking - 10 weeks long. This is the end of week 8 (it runs Tues-Tues on the week). I've had to try my hand at everything from short nonfiction to fiction snippies to poetry. A good thing, I think.
*snugglebunnies* How are you, sweetie? Have your poor wrists recovered from all those forms yet? (Never ceases to amaze me the sheer volume of forms they expect people in ill health to fill out. . . .)
